The II Regata Wingfoil Estartit, held at the Club Nàutic Estartit, brought together a total of 34 participants. For the second consecutive year, the Club, in collaboration with the Eoliskite Kitesurf School of Estartit, has organized this event. It thus consolidates itself as a prominent one within the local nautical panorama.

A trouble-free day

After an initial postponement due to lack of wind, the regatta finally took place over the past weekend, on April 20th and 21st. The Saturday morning began with participants registering at the Garbí dock office, next to the beach. Shortly after, the departure of the participants of the II Regatta Wingfoil Estartit was announced.

At 12:00 pm, the Gregal wind blew with optimal intensity, ranging between 10 and 18 knots. This allowed the smooth development of the entire regatta program. After two qualifying races, the fleet was divided into two groups. The most outstanding participants competed for the top 16 positions in the final classification.

Standing out in this competition, Jordi Ponjoan Serra, representing the Club Náutico Estartit, achieved a notable twelfth position in the final race.

As for the winners of the race, the third place went to Mario Brassó from the WindParadise Sports Club, while the second position was occupied by the winner of the previous edition, Luís Pinyana, from the Club Náutico Vilassar de Mar.

The excellence in the competition culminated with the triumph of Raphael Genertre from the Barcelona Swimming Club, who secured the first position in the general classification, as well as victory in the youth category.

With this success, the Club Nàutic Estartit congratulates ourselves and expresses our motivation to continue organizing this event in the coming years. In this way, we contribute to the development and promotion of nautical sports in the region.
